Russia launched in 2018 a national « Ecology » plan to make dramatic changes in the way humans affect the environment. The objective: switch to a sustainable natural resources management model, and improve living standards for 20 millions of Russian citizens who currently live in adverse environmental conditions.
The « Clean Air 2020-2024 » project is part of this plan. It aims at a 20-percent reduction on harmful emissions in several polluted cities such as Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Lipetsk, Cherepovets and Chita by 2024, as well as a dramatic reduction in air pollution.
As a consequence, the country has accelerated the development of the current network of reference air pollution monitoring stations.
WHAT’S THE PROJECT ABOUT ?
It includes 2 fixed AQMS stations for the city of Bratsk and one for Chita, located in Siberia. These cities are extending their existing air quality network that includes a dozen of stations. For this project, we have developed complete stations including the monitoring equipment, sampling system, software and workplace.
The air quality monitoring stations are set for continuous measurement of Carbon Monoxide (CO), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Nitrogen Oxides (NO, NO2 and NOx) and Ozone (O3).
WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE ?
We provided a high-quality turnkey solution featuring an ergonomic working space and trouble-free equipment. The latter includes last generation ENVEA’s e-series analyzers (AC32e, AF22e, O342e and CO12e), offering superior metrological performances, reduced maintenance, ultra-low power consumption and full connectivity.
